Cutbacks on culture in Brabant
At the beginning of February it became known that the announced budget cuts in the cultural sector in Brabant can count on a majority in the Provincial Council of North Brabant.
Among other things, it was decided to phase out the subsidy of Kunstloc Brabant by 1,200,000 euros. The college believes that the cut will be made possible by a reduced commitment from Kunstloc Brabant to cultural education, cultural participation and art in the public space. The cut is in addition to the previous decision to halve Brabant's impulse money budget, an instrument for sustainable reinforcement of Brabant's cultural sector.
