The economic situation of visual artists is deteriorating so much that artistry is in danger of being completely eroded. So says a survey of 311 Flemish and Dutch artists commissioned by the Belgian magazine rekto:verso. They are unable to invest enough in their practice and do not grow sufficiently into professional working artists.
