Waterproof

This exhibition at Fort Maarsseveen is part of 'Ode to the Landscape', the national yearly theme of the Dutch Bureau for Tourism and Conventions. Fort Maarsseveen used to be part of the New Dutch Waterline, an important defence mechanism against the enemies of the past. During 'Ode to the Landscape', 'Watertight' wants to connect and expose what landscapes mean to us and how we as humans and especially as visitors of that landscape deal with it. What choices do we make when arranging a landscape, how do we interpret nature and what do we do to control the landscape ourselves? Nine different artists have tackled this theme. To be seen until 26 September. The pictures are made by Vince van der Heijden.
