Aquavit
With more than 100 watercolors, the exhibition provides a broad overview of the various themes and approaches within the medium, from political to philosophical, with man or nature as the subject, figurative or just balancing on the edge of abstraction.Until recently, the watercolor asked for a modest format because of its specific characteristics: the stretching of wetted paper on handy wooden panels ensured an even drying of the paint. Meanwhile, watercolor paper is available in very large formats - up to rolls of 1.5x10 meters - which can no longer be stretched.
