Because visual artists, photographers, illustrators and designers make an increasingly essential contribution to society and the value of images is greater than is often thought, the system needs to be adjusted, according to Pictoright. The Image Rights Federation wants to see images assessed at their correct economic value and attributed to image makers. The goal is a fairer distribution in the chain from maker to viewer. Copyright organization Pictoright is going to work on this as a quartermaster.
