Creative Europe during corona

  • policy & politics

The Covid pandemic has had a major impact on the cultural, social and economic life of the European Union in 2020. The Creative Europe 2020 monitoring report examines how Creative Europe was able to play a role for Europe's cultural and creative ecosystem in 2020.

For example, in 2020, the European Commission provided support for the creation of CreativesUnite a 'Covid-19 Recovery Resource Platform', creating space for sharing online initiatives. In parallel, flexible measures were taken in the Creative Europe program to meet new and changing needs of applicants. 2020 also saw agreement on the European Commission's proposal for the new Creative Europe program 2021-2027. In addition, the budget was increased significantly.
