Boekman 109. Toward a new cultural system
The winter 2016/2017 edition of Boekman examines desirable and possible reforms in the current cultural system. "Artists and cultural institutions need a redesign of the cultural system, partly because the subsidy conditions are at odds with the way they work. Artists operate multi- rather than monodisciplinary, they use the latest technologies, enter into alliances with their audiences and break ut the cultural sector to work in other societal domenes.
