Art is a Shelter: Rumah
This exhibition can be seen in Odapark in Venray until 12 January 2020. The exhibition shows work of artists with a similar historical background. The inspiration comes from the barracks that were placed in Vlakwater in the fifties for the Moluccans who ended up in Venray. Participating artists: Sias Fanoembi, Ingrid van der Hoeven, Shelly Lapré, Pieter Latul, Kitty Luhulima, Ben Manusama, Kim Pattiruhu and Rogier Roeters. The exhibition seeks to answer the question of whether and how the background of these artists has influenced their work.
