Requesting changes

A number of contributions from the Mondriaan Fund have recently changed. Individual artists can apply to the Mondriaan Fund for the following, among other things:

Artist Basic (previously known as Werkbijdrage Bewezen Talent)

For artists who have been working as a visual artist for four years or longer. The contribution can be used for the creation of work, research, experimentation, the purchase of materials and equipment, for the development of a commission and participation in exhibitions and events at home and abroad. Applications can be made all year round.

Artist Project (formerly Project Investment Artist and Mediator)

For visual artists or collaborating artists who want to carry out a specific plan, bound to a clear work period. It concerns the execution of specific plans and artists who have been professionally active as a visual artist for at least 1 year. Applications can be made throughout the year.

Artist Start (previously known as Young Talent Contribution)

Intended for beginning artists who have been working professionally for a minimum of one to a maximum of four years. The contribution can be used for everything related to the development of work and artistic practice, such as research, materials, equipment and projects at home or abroad. Applications can be made all year round.

Art Presentation International (formerly Presentation Abroad)

Artists from the Netherlands who would like to present their work abroad or foreign institutions who would like to show current work of living visual artists from the Netherlands, can receive a contribution towards the costs of exhibiting work internationally. Applications can be made all year round.

Residency (formerly Contribution Guest studios)

To deepen one's artistic practice and expand one's network during an artist-in-residency at home or abroad in a studio offered by the fund. There are two application rounds per year.

Publication (formerly Contribution Publications)

Intended for visual artists and publishers for the production of special publications about the work of living visual artists from the Netherlands. The contribution can be applied for twice a year. The next deadline is 6 September 2021.
