The Mondriaan Fund is contributing four million euros this year to the programs of a total of twenty-six art venues in the Netherlands, ranging from small art initiatives to organizations with extensive activity programs.

The contribution is intended for "a publicly accessible program that contributes to a high-quality and pluralistic offering of contemporary visual art." Art venues receive the contribution for a program of one to a maximum of three years. These are fixed contributions of 25,000 to 175,000 euros on an annual basis. 

In the category Art Stage Start - for small organizations and collectives - the fund received fifty applications, of which twelve initiatives received a contribution of 25,000 euros for a calendar year. The initiatives are Blind Walls Gallery in Breda, Dat Bolwerck in Zutphen, Destination Unknown in Weert, Into Nature in Assen, Yes Yes Yes No No No No i Amsterdam, Manifold Books in Amsterdam, Plaatsmaken in Arnhem, RADIUS in Delft, SEA Foundation in Tilburg, Shimmer in Rotterdam, VierVaart in Groede and WET in Rotterdam.
In addition, five applications received positive reviews but could not be honored due to a lack of budget, these were Bureau Postjesweg in Amsterdam, Derde Wal in Nijmegen, Greylight Projects in Heerlen, Playbill in Amsterdam and The Balcony in The Hague. 

In the Arts Stage Basic category - for professional contemporary visual arts organizations with a relevant artistic content program for a professional audience and who are striving to broaden their audience - were contributions of 110,000 euros per year for a period of two years is available. Of the Twenty-seven applications were awarded to twelve organizations: A Tale of a Tub in Rotterdam, Ateliers '89 in Aruba, FOTODOK in Utrecht, the resort in Groningen, Hotel Maria Kapel Institute for Human Activities in Hoorn, Institute for Human Activities in Amsterdam, Kunstenlab in Deventer, Kunsthuis SYB in Beetsterzwaag, Reverb/Clankvorm in Rotterdam, Sign in Groningen, Video Power in Maastricht and W139 in Amsterdam.
Again, due to a lack of budget a number of assessed organizations will not be honored, too know Casco Art Institute in Utrecht, De Fabriek in Eindhoven and Page Not Found in The Hague. 

In the Art Stage Pro category - for professional contemporary visual arts organizations with a regular and urgent artistic content program, supplemented by activities that support the program for a diverse audience of professionals and interested parties - the fund received three applications two of which received awards. Project Space 1646 in The Hague and VHDG in Leeuwarden will both receive annual contributions of 175,000 euros for three years. 

Within the category Arts Stage Broad - for institutions from local to international level with a full-fledged professional organization, seeking support for a regular annual program of presentations complemented by an extensive program of activities - one application was received that did not was honored. The budget for this category will be maintained for the next round of applications and may be awarded in 2023.
