The Sustainable Culture Sector Program was launched to accelerate the sustainability of the cultural and creative sector and for the cultural and creative sector to participate in making other domains more sustainable. Kunsten '92 is coordinating the program. Organizations and workers from across the sector are involved in its implementation. The program runs until the end of 2027 and is financially made possible by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.

The website sustainableculturesector.nl will be the digital gathering place where the entire sector can go for news, knowledge, tools, regulations, practical tools and inspiring examples. Starting in 2026, the site will grow into a fully functioning platform that will be continuously supplemented and updated.

The program builds on the ambitions of the Sustainable Culture Sector Roadmap, the basic document and starting point for the further elaboration of the sector's sustainability ambitions. The roadmap shows what is needed to reduce CO2 emissions. Among other things, the roadmap pays attention to high-quality reuse of materials and emission-free mobility.
