Agenda

For centuries, the Frisian landscape has been characterized by meadows, ditches, mounds, and historic farms. But in recent years the landscape is changing drastically due to the impact of climate change. Especially around the peat meadow area there is reason for great concern. In the exhibition Peat Meadow Atelier The Fries Museum, in cooperation with Arcadia, is investigating the future prospects for the peat meadow area by means of art and design. Together with farmers, residents, scientists and designers a future is being sketched in which the peat meadow area remains livable - for nature and people.
