On tipping points in artists' practice

Under the title It can also be different Brings trade magazine for visual artists BK information since Oct. 1, 2025 released a second series of podcasts. The subtitle - about tipping points in artists' practice - is exactly what a year of 52 conversations is about.

It can also be different

Events in life give artists inspiration for their work. What happens when an event has such an impact that it changes the work? As an artist, how do you shape such a process of change? What needs to be let go of? And how to deal with the uncertainty or created chaos?

52 conversations

A new episode of the podcast is published every Wednesday afternoon. In 52 episodes an artist talks about the turning point in his career as an artist. Tipping points that were caused by very different events, such as a studio fire, a new study, acute or chronic health problems.

Through the diverse stories, listeners will get a good and increasingly clear picture of how profound events affect the life and work of visual artists - for whom life and work are strongly connected.

In the first 12 episodes, the following will speak consecutively: Flora Valeska Woudstra, David Habets, Bert Loerakker, Faisel Saro, Cecilia Rebergen, Tommy van der Loo, Cécile Verwaaijen, Laurien Dumbar, Paula Biemans and Klaas Kloosterhuis, Carlos Blaaker, Tamara Dees, Hellen Abma.
