A sculpture exhibition featuring works by twelve artists on the theme of “Movement” has been set up in the gardens of the Hofje Van Aerden.

Pixel Pioneers is Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen's first major exhibition devoted entirely to digital art. In two rooms of the Depot, visitors are taken on a journey past artists who use digital technology to experiment, excite and reshape our visual culture.  

For the artists in the exhibition, paper is an essential part of their work, as an image carrier, but also as a material. The presentation aims to show that paper ‘breathes’ and can be seen as a kind of installation where the artworks also tell a collective story about the different aspects of paper and its use.

In the exhibition Naked that touches, primarily female, feminist and queer artists use the naked body as a means of expression, activism and reflection on norms, identity and equality. Nude that touches shows art from 1920 to the present: from paintings to contemporary photography and performances.
